why all the 2012 end of world talk?

why? necrodamus (or however you spelled it) didnt DID NOT, predict the end of the world on 2012, considering his predictions continue on after that.

plus the mayan calender was based on like 200 somethin days, not 365 like ours, so to the mayans the year 2012 would have came at around the 14th century or so.

anyone have any other reasons why i hear that the world is gona end everyday?

    Just wishful thinking I guess.
Especially if Obama gets re-elected in 2012, then it will feel like the end of the world.

The main reason is that a bunch of frauds can see a good marketing opportunity for books, videos and survival kits so they create a lot of nonsensical hype about the end of the world in 2012. Some genuinely gullible or deluded people actually believe it, but these fraudsters are probably perfectly aware that it’s all garbage, yet think nothing of scaring kids in order to make a quick buck. They should be rounded up and publicly humiliated when nothing happens in 2012.
The site below gives plenty of reasons why the world won’t end in 2012.

SONY pictures is promoting thier dispicable movie.

So they post crap on all sorts of websites to draw attention to their film.

I suspect 99% of all 2012 questions are spam for that film.

If they had been capable of producing a film with good acting, a decent plot, and hired a good director, they would not need to scare people into thinking they are going to die if they don’t see this movie.

All it is, is a manipulation to take your ten dollars and waste 2 hours of your life.

    Shame on SONY
