I ordered this figure because I am a fan of Halo games and McFarlane’s line of Halo figures. This figure has very good detailed paint, and it looks very nice. It comes with a knife, frag grenade, shotgun, and what looks like a pair of binoculars. You can attach all of the accessories to the figure except the knife, which cannot be put in the sheath. The only problem with the figure is that it is very difficult, if at all possible, to make the figure hold the shotgun in a stance that looks at all realistic. I haven’t tried for more than 10 minutes, however, during this time, I managed to make his left hand snap out. I was able to snap it back into place, because it was a ball joint. This figure, much like all other McFarlane figures, really shouldn’t be used to play with too much, as they are quite fragile in certain places. They cannot hold their equipment with a very good grip either. This figure is very detailed and a great item for fans of Halo to have.

McFarlane is a name that usually means quality to me so my expectations for this action figure were pretty high. When I got it however I was very disappointed with the paint quality of the visor. The skull etched into the visor was poorly done and does not look right. Also I found close to impossible to even get him to stand on his own. I currently have him leaning up against something to stay up. Square Enix has their own line of Halo Reach action figures coming out and from the pictures they look to be perfect recreations and I wish that I saved my money for them.

i ordered this toy, and when it arrived it was happy, until i opened it and started to use it, first most of the remove able parts BROKE when i removed them, second when i looked at the face of him, they did a very poor job painting it, for example some gold paint was smeared across the face and in the face the skull was painted horribly, third, when i got this the hands and feet were loss. ;_;(sad face) I hope that this was only my product and that this does not happen to yours

After buying 3 of these online and getting them in i am shocked how bad McFarlane’s Quality Control is. The paint application on this figure has to be the worst i seen. I have all duds with the visor. The eyes on the visor are all messed up and looks like he is cross eyed or something. Come on 3 out of 3 having this issue? Wow talking about bad QC. Then i had one break on me trying to loosen the joints that were stuck. I had to super glue fix him and now not able to move that arm. Then i had another with some sorta plastic mold defects where it was deformed on a few places including his helmet. The 3rd one is ok expect for the poorly paint job they did on it. I am not picky since i am used to this company doing these types of things. But come on my Emile’s all 3 look like they got hit in the head to much and eyes are all looking like they are cross eyed or looking like they are all looking up cause the bottom portion of the eye paint is missing. F Minus for QC what is new! I did enjoy some of the other figures in this series but man what is wrong with this company. If adults are careful to not break them how is a kid gonna do with these?

Well, easy as this, he’s awsome, hes got great articulation, molding is great, its just, im not sure if i got a sloppy painter, so far ive bought about 6 figures from mc farlane regarding reach, and lately, there paint quality has been slipping, got some un necessary smearing here and there, but…. he does have great articulation, and he can hold the shot gun well, its just he cant hold the handle all the way, but if you pay attention he has a little cut out right before the pump, his left hand fits right into position there, and for you trying to pose him, you dont aim facing forward, pay attention, you have to twist his torso sideways as well as his head. thats how guns are held in the first place, hes a very good figure, molding details are great, however paint is slowly getting sloppy.
